Natural Rubber
Chemical Name:
Polyisoprene
Common Names: Natural Rubber
ASTM D1418: NR
ASTM D2000 / SAE J200:
AA
ISO/DIN 1629: NR
It is a high polymer isoprene. The vulcanizates are
characterized by high mechanical strength and elasticity
as well as good low temperature behavior.
It is preferably
used in manufacture of torsional oscillation dampers,
engine mounts, machine bearings, rubber-metal suspension
components, diaphragms, molded parts etc.
Temperature range
-60°C ~ 80°C / -76°F ~ 176°F
Good resistance in
Acids and bases at low concentration as well as in alcohols and water at not excessively high temperatures and concentration. Brake fluids on a glycol ether base, e.g. ATE-SL at temperatures up to 70 °C.
Not resistance in
Mineral oils and greases, fuels and aliphatic, aromatic and chlorinated hydro-carbons.
